About the Sonoran Singers
Sonoran Singers, located in Saddlebrooke, Arizona, is a diverse group of women with all types of voices and musical talent. But they have one thing in common: their passion for singing and making people happy. Sonoran Singers have been singing in Saddlebrooke since 2004 and have performed concerts in the greater Tucson area at various venues but primarily at locations that serve the elderly.
Under the direction of Cora Peters and accompanied by Jaye Ann Smith, Sonoran Singers perform a selection of music standards from the 1940s and beyond. Musical genres include standards and jazz, folk tunes, patriotic songs, hits from Broadway and cinema, popular music, religious pieces, and seasonal songs. You can watch and listen to us perform nine songs from our repertoire in this 59-minute YouTube video.
The group is guided by its Board: The Director, President, Vice President & Marketing, Secretary, Chorus Fund Manager, Membership Coordinator, Librarian, and President Emeritus.
